Shannon has music at her fingertiips. the accordionist from Ireland has achieved legendary status throughout the world. Renowned for her collaborations, she is recognized not only for her traditional Irish music, but also many other genres including Hip-hop, Cajun, Country, Classical and Rap.
Sharon has recorded and toured with some of the best in the music industry including Bono, Adam Clayton, Sinead O'Connor, Jackson Brown, the Chieftains, and many more. She has entertained US President Bill Clinton and Irish Presidents Mary Robinson and Mary MacAleese.
This genre-defying star has multi-plantinum album sales, and many number one albums.

How to Get Here
Eyeries is located 4 miles North of Castletownbere, on the Beara Peninsula. From Cork: Take the N22/N25 West. Prior to Macroom, turn Left. Go thru the Lee Valley to Ballylickey for approx 1 Hour. At Ballylickey junction, turn Right. Proceed thru Glengarrif. On the far side of Glengarrif, turn Left to Castletownbere. Proceed 45 minutes to Castletownbere. In Castletownbere, look for signs for Eyeries and turn right. Proceed 4 miles to the Village of Eyeries.

The Wonder of Eyeries


Located on Ireland's Beara Peninsula, a 2 hour drive from Cork City, Eyeries is one of the jewels of Ireland. This small village perched right on one of Ireland's most stunning bays - Coulagh Bay - has some of the most marvellous views in the country.

Maureen O'Hara Classic Film Festival Comes to Eyeries



Maureen O'Hara has delighted global audiences for an entire lifetime. This year, the Eyeries Family Festival 2011 is honoured to present the Maureen O'Hara Classic Film Festival.


For three days - the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of July 2911 - Festival visitors will have the chance to see some of Ms O'Hara's most powerful performances. Many of her films - as well as those of her contemporaries - will be screened daily at the Eyeries Dance Hall.


Tickets will be available at the door.


Did you know? Maureen O'Hara lives in Glengarrif, only one hour north of Eyeries. Still a true trooper, her wonderful presense often graces the streets of that small town located only minutes from Bantry.


Getting to Eyeries

From Dublin - take the M8 to Cork. Drive thru the Jack Lynch Tunnel and follow the ring road around Cork City to the N22. Take the N22 toward Macroom. 1/2 mile before Macroom, take a left on the N78. Drive 1.5 hours to Ballylickey. Turn right. Go 5 miles to Glengarrif. Turn Left at signs for Castletownbere. Arriving in Castletownbere, take a right at the sign for Eyeries. Drive 100 yards and take a right onto the Eyeries road. Drive 4 miles. Take a left at the large sign for Eyeries.


International Travellers - can fly to Cork, Dublin and Limerick. Then take buses, trains, or car rentals to Eyeries.
